Sorry for the slack blogging

Hi Everyone,

I know i have been very slack with this and im sorry... One day left of the snow season and then another week on the mountain before we head off on the exciting part of our trip, which i promise to keep you updated on!!! Unill then i have attached a few pics from the past few weeks!

I miss you all and im very much looking forward to catching up with everyone when we get home on the 16th of May!!!

Aaron Arrives

Hello all,

Yesterday my dear little brother arrived from Australia to visit us for 3 and a half weeks... which is almost the end of our season here at Big White then we are off for more exciting adventures!! Anywhoooo So after half an hour of walking in the door the boys decided to play a game of "Shot Head"..... the loser has to have a shot of the alchol of choice, yesterday was Vodka. Aaron clearly needs more practice at this game, considering after 5 games Aaron had consumed 5 shots of Vodka. Needless to say he was in bed asleep within the hour!

So this morning Mark and I woke up to take Aaron out for his first day of Snowboarding. I was a little worried at first as he wasn't able to stand up and it took him quite awhile to get down a small stretch of mountain, however by the end of the day he was turning and getting down the mountain ok.. im sure he will be a pro in no time!!!

Ice Hockey

Last Saturday night we went down to Kelowna to watch the Ice Hockey (Kelowna Rockets Vs Vancouver Giants) As my first real ice hockey experience i must tell you it was very very crazy!!! Everything is so loud, every smash, hit punch etc sounds as though they are right next to you! They are all so skilled to be able to skate around the rink as fast and precise as they do! In Ice Hockey believe it or not fighting is considered to be ok...the referees would rather let the rather larger men fight it out than step in between them. So in the first 10mins of the game two players ripped off their gloves and just started laying into each other while the crowd cheered....crazy! (well the boys loved it.)

Anywho tonight the boys decided to give it a try themselves, for a few it was their first time on the ice which made for very interesting viewing!...until mark almost got his fingers sliced off that is....

Happy Australia Day!!!

Happy Australia Day to you all, hope everyone had a good one!!

The Day was started with everyone dressesd in their green and gold going down a ski run known as "Kangaroo" after that was done, everyone came home to start drinking & for a BBQ! (which broke and we ended up using the grill!)
The night before the boys spent hours making a 1/4 pipe in the backyard, which they made full use of on OZ Day! Following our lovely "BBQ" we went to a friends house accross the road where all the boys decided that they needed moustaches???? And then once again off to the Pub!!!
